The History Tattoos

It is safe to say that almost 50% of the population aged 18 to 35 have at least one tattoo. So you think tattoos was made from and how long have they been around.The word tattoo comes from the Polynesian word "Tatao", meaning to press or to highlight any. It was reported that the Tattooing has been around for 5000 years. archaeologist found that tattoos can be traced to countries like Egypt, Roman, Greek and Japanese regions. Of course, the tattoos were not always used for art of the personal body like most people use them as today.

Over the years tattoos have been used for several reasons, such as rights symbols, symbols of rank and seniority, or being young, symbols of spirituality, devotion, religion, rewards and awards for his bravery, amulets, talismans and safety. Interestingly tattoos were also used as a form of punishment, which also were used to mark someone as an outcast, and marked slaves and people who have been convicted of a crime.

There are still a few religions require their followers to be there for a tattoo to show that they are part of this particular religion, and what the state could be. This is an increasingly common practice, which is used in today's gang members.
